Learn how an exercise environment that offers maximal dissipation of heat offers a safe environment and one that enables the subject to achieve his maximum intensity and thereby achieve the best-possible results. |
| Purpose: |
This course presents the basics of heat production and dissipation during exercise to ensure that the SS instructor understands and is competent to explain to a client:
1. How heat production and sufficient heat
dissipation during a SS workout affects workout
performance.
2. The importance of an ideal environment to expedite
heat dissipation.
3. Command of this information ensures the instructor
will also be competent to mandate that certain
requirements are met before the client is
administered a workout.

1. How muscularity affects heat production during
exercise.
2. How the body dissipates heat.
3. What affect:
a. Environmental factors have on the body’s ability
to dissipate heat.
b. Ability to dissipate heat has on capacity to
exercise with maximum intensity.
c. Workout attire has on ability to exercise with
maximum intensity.
4. The prevalent misunderstanding or unawareness of
the dangers of exercising in a heated environment.
5. About hydration needs during SuperSlow workouts.
6. About safety issues regarding water bottles in
the workout area.

a. How the degree of muscularity affects heat
production during exercise.
b. How the body dissipates heat.
Demonstrate understanding and problem solving
during situational role playing during
study/buddy assignment and group discussions)
about the:
a. Environmental factors and the body’s ability to
dissipate heat.
b. Body’s ability to dissipate heat has on a
subject’s ability to exercise with maximum
intensity.
c. Subject’s workout attire has on his ability to
exercise with maximum intensity.
2. Practice putting into action skills to synthesize
and be able to express information clearly, in a
conversational way, to clients about topics
including:
a. The prevalent misunderstanding or unawareness of
the dangers of exercising in a heated environment.
b. Hydration needs during SuperSlow workouts.
c. Safety issues regarding water bottles in the
workout area.
