Description: This course is part two to Discover Your Strengths and The Style of Your Communications and it will enable you to deepen your communication skills through practice.
Purpose: This course enables you to reflect on what you learned, and then implemented, with your clients and co-workers, in part one of Discover Your Strengths and the Style of Your Communications. Additionally you will identify where you could have implemented what you learned, and did not, so that you can strengthen these skills.

In part two of Discover Your Strengths and The Style of Your Communications you will identify the communication skills you would like to strengthen. You will practice your specific areas through several role playing situations in “Hot Lightning Rounds” and with your Study Buddy.

Through these practice conditions, students will further develop their abilities for communication style identification and proficiency to incorporate shifting, listening, and questioning skills.
Objectives: 1. Improve/deepen “style shifting” skills when
speaking with specific styles/situations that the
student finds challenging.
2. Enhance ‘body language skills’ the student would
like to improve.
3. Practice particular listening skills the student
identifies as “needs improvement” for better and
broader connection with a wider range of people.
4. Practice asking open-ended questions to enhance the
student’s communication skills.
Outcomes: 1.Learners improve/deepen “style-shifting” skill
through practice of specific challenging
styles/situations identified by each student.

practice and role play to both recognize/respond
to ‘body language’ of others and to be aware
of ‘body language’ they telegraph from the client’s
point of view.
